Rs. 13.5 bln so far invested in Gwadar Port project

ISLAMABAD, Jun 9 (APP): Minister of State for Finance, Omar Ayub Khan Saturday said so far an investment of Rs. 13.5 billion has been made in Gwadar Port project . Presenting a Federal Budget 2007-08 in the national assembly, he said this amount excludes foreign investment. He said Coastal Highway which links Karachi with Gwadar has already been completed, adding that Gwadar will emerge as an important Port for the region because it will provide a transit route to Central Asian States and China.
